Step One: Admit you have too many things

Me: How serious could it be, really. I don't have a decluttering icon.
D.: No icon? D: D: D:
Me: I know!
D.: Well, you better hop on that.

(Then I looked for icons. Self, stop doing that. You have things to do.)


Gotten Rid Of:

3 small bookcases.
3 lamps.
1 Big computer monitor.
1 shelf not appropriate for books.
1 bag of clothes.
1 corner table.
1 broken chair.

Cleaned out:

3 desk drawers.
Bedroom closet.
Contents of shelving units.

Marked for getting rid of:

All Harry Potter books (anyone want? Going to women's shelter if not.)
D.'s big winter coat (still usable, going to Out of the Cold Shelter)
Many many many many DVDs
Sharon Kay Penman books (anyone want? Most going to women's shelter if not, except the one that's torn.)
All the Jasper Fforde books (same)
All the Bernard Cornwell books (same, specifically the Saxon Chronicles if anyone is interested.)

Big Huge Problem Areas:

Moving all the books onto the big bookshelf was not necessarily the best use of space.
I believe there's a table underneath all those things.
I have an extra desk that holds Things and my printer.

Goals for this week:
Empty Things from extra desk and pack 'er in.
- Will probably mean having to clear my main desk off so things can go on it instead.

Take out one or two of the three bulletin boards.
